Great Lakes Forever was conceived and coordinated by the Madison, Wisconsin-based environmental communications non-profit Biodiversity Project .
However, Great Lakes Forever is collaborative effort of many state and regional non-profit organizations and governmental agencies. In 2005, the John G. Shedd Aquarium joined the program and brought leadership to our Chicago expansion. The involvement and support of all our partners expands the reach of Great Lakes Forever and engages the skills and expertise of other public education groups that share a mutual desire to protect our valuable, vulnerable Great Lakes.
