Intro::Program News::Great Lakes News::News Links
In addition to major newspapers, magazines, television and radio broadcasters, there are many helpful Great Lakes news resources online. You’ll find links to some of our favorite resources below.

Great Lakes Information Network
The Great Lakes Information Network (GLIN) is a partnership that provides one place online for people to find information relating to the binational Great Lakes-St. Lawrence region of North America. GLIN offers a wealth of data and information about the region's environment, economy, tourism, education and more. Thanks to its strong network of state, provincial, federal and regional partner agencies and organizations, GLIN has become a necessary component of informed decision-making, and a trusted and reliable source of information for those who live, work or have an interest in the Great Lakes region.

Great Lakes Directory
The Great Lakes Directory is a project of the Environmental Association for Great Lakes Education (EAGLE) and the Great Lakes Aquatic Habitat Network and Fund. The mission of the Great Lakes Aquatic Habitat Network and Fund is to empower citizens to take action at the community level to protect and restore wetlands, shorelines, rivers, lakes, and other aquatic habitats throughout the Great Lakes Basin. Recognizing that citizens and grassroots citizen groups play an indispensable role in environmental protection in the United States and Canada, GLAHNF provides consultation and financial resources, shares information, and fosters communication between citizens and organizations working to protect aquatic habitats.

Great Lakes Radio Consortium
The Great Lakes Radio Consortium is a news service committed to revealing the relationship between the natural world and the everyday lives of people in the Great Lakes region. This is accomplished by thoughtful and provocative explorations of the environment in a way that reaches the widest possible audience.

Great Lakes Water Wars
While the original focus of this website was to promote Peter Annin's 2006 book, The Great Lakes Water Wars, it also serves as an excellent source of daily Great Lakes news articles. Annin compiles a list of dozens of articles around the country that deal with water issues, especially those regarding the Great Lakes. Click on the "Great Lakes and Other Water News" button to peruse the list.
